Yamaha’s Kindness Offensive

Yamaha has recently teamed up with and supported a new programme ‘The Kindness Offensive’. The programme is in the sprit of Radio One’s ‘Random Acts Of Kindness’ and the sorely missed ‘Jim’ll Fix it’ and ‘Challenge Anneka’ from yester year. Yamaha helped through providing a young man, Lucas with his dream guitar, a RED PACIFICA.

Other items featured in this programme was providing a brand new fridge freezer to a 72 year old Grandmother whose arthritis has prevented her from bending down and limited her movement and granting one man’s life long dream and ambition of attending a Wembly Final.

Lucas, 13 is a very deserving boy who has had much to contend with in his sort life, much more than most in a life time and was extremely shocked and happy when the programme surprised him with the Red Guitar during a Summer School Radio project, leaving him utterly speechless and with a huge smile on his face. Lucas thought the chaps from The Kindness Offensive in the inconspicuous Hi-Vis jackets were there just to be interviewed for the radio show, but it turned out they were there to surprise him.

His Mother Merrellene said “Thank you soooo much for today! After Lucas got over his shock and started speaking again he said ‘it’s so cool, I totally LOVE people I didn’t even know two days ago!’ Please send on my most sincere THANKS to everyone at The Kindness Offensive and Yamaha Music, it’s a brilliant bit of kit they’ve passed his way and I’m just amazed. I assure you the present couldn’t have been bestowed on a more grateful recipient.”

Lucas has vowed to practice everyday and we all have been promised tickets to his first gig, front row and backstage VIP passes. With Rock Stars like this in the making, Yamaha were happy to help.
